Core muscles provide a base for endurance and stability throughout the swimming, running, and cyling phases of a triathlon. Athletes with strong core strength will be able to maximize their output of energy and a strong core will aid in preventing injury during long and extended training for endurance events. Supine Double Leg Raises are a great exercise to develop strong core abdominal muscles, while incorporating flexibilty of the hamstring muscles and strength of the quadriceps.
